The prime objective of this project was to stop the child labour through education, livelihood, promoting the rights and entitlements. Some of the achievements are given below:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">47 ward child protection committees (WCPCs) formed &amp; strengthened<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">01 block child protection committee (BCPC) formed &amp; strengthened<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">06 panchayat child protection committees (PCPCs) formed &amp; strengthened<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-4a3c054\" data-id=\"4a3c054\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-244b3a5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"244b3a5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>First project on children\u2019s education<\/b><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SSEVS\u2019s first project titled \u201cTo connect children to regular schools especially dalit and dropped out through innovative non-formal centers\u201d, supported by Bihar Education Project, Govt of Bihar was implemented during 1<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">st<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> April 1991 to 31<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">st<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> March 1994 in 04 panchayats of Chanpatia block of West Champaran, Bihar.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>Achievements of this project were:\u00a0<\/b><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">40 non-formal centers established, run and managed satisfactorily. <\/span><b>1093 children admitted in various regular schools of the block.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 13 village committees formed. 76 members were trained to their roles and responsibilities.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-4a953dd elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"4a953dd\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-no\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-b42d38f\" data-id=\"b42d38f\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c45373d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c45373d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>Second project on children\u2019s education<\/b><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During 1992-97, 40 non-formal centers had been established in Chanpatia block with the support of Bihar Education Project (BEP).<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Achievement: <\/span><b>1200 dropout children were provided primary education in the centers.<\/b><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>52% children were admitted to local primary schools.<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-651cf27\" data-id=\"651cf27\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-69b9c99 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"69b9c99\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Work on child labourers<\/b><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During 1995-2000, a survey of child labourers engaged in the brick making has been done in 22 brick kilns in Sikta and Chanpatia blocks of West Champaran of Bihar.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <b>Achievements:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 157 child labourer had been identified. 06 child learning centers had been established for the rescued child labourers which lasted for 03 seasons and 108 children had been admitted to the local govt primary schools. 49 children admitted to schools dropped out. Parents &amp; PRI members were sensitized on the child rights and their issues.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <b>Impact: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The brick kiln owners were scared to employ the children in their brick kilns during that period.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-d233421 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"d233421\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-no\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-223d868\" data-id=\"223d868\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-31bcb77 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"31bcb77\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p><b>Apna Vidyalay (Our School) fo the children<\/b><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apna Vidyalay (our school) for scheduled caste and Muslims have been successful model and tested model in \u201cAdolescent Education Project (ADP) supported by <\/span><b>Sir Dorabji Tata Trust<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in which we have been providing the education to the young girls and mainstreaming them to the formal schools. After a year, it was found that Out of 180 young girls completed their studies in apna vidyalay and are sustaining their education in formal schools.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-3c1b654\" data-id=\"3c1b654\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-10a7aa0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"10a7aa0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p><b>Skill training in various trades to the young girls\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For skill training, organization have been linking the young girls to Ashadeep, Muzaffarpur and after their training they have successfully been placed and earning their livelihoods. Secondly, organization has provided the skill training to the young girls in agriculture under its \u201cIndia Grain Legume Cluster Development: Policy, Production &amp; Nutrition\u201d project.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-8a2dfc0 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"8a2dfc0\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-no\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-aaf10d1\" data-id=\"aaf10d1\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-499f06d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"499f06d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>Collective Coalition against Human Trafficking (CCHT)\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CCHT is a state level network to combat the human trafficking which covers 38 districts of Bihar.\u00a0 Around 200 NGOs are the members of this coalition in Bihar.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Samagra Sikchhan Evam Vikas Sansthan (SSEVS) has been elected as the District Convenor for the district of West Champaran. The coalition has been assigned to capacitate the NGOs who are working in and around West Champaran on trafficking issue. The coalition works with the local administration, PRI members &amp; other departt to combat human trafficking in\u00a0 district.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-f07577f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"f07577f\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-no\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-356812c\" data-id=\"356812c\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8ed77c9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8ed77c9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Agriculture and Livelihood<\/b><\/p><p><b>SSEVS experience on sustainable agricultural livelihood &amp; nutrition\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2303 farmers have been streamlined into 143 farmers interest groups (FIGs)<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2303 farmers are growing pulses through adopting package of practice, technical inputs and market linkages &amp; getting fair prices<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">212 dalit families have almost doubled their income through vegetable cultivation and consuming which has enhanced their level of nutritional intake.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">02 farmers producers\u2019 companies have been registered under Companies Act<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">200 families\/farmers are practicing the kitchen gardens whereby they consume the vegetable which has enhanced their nutritional level<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organization has also been working on small agricultural tools to reduce the access labour burden of women farmers. The prime objective of this project was to stop the child labour through education, livelihood, promoting the rights and entitlements. Some of the achievements are given below: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 47 ward child protection committees (WCPCs) formed &amp; strengthened \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 01 block child protection committee (BCPC) formed &amp; strengthened \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 06 panchayat child protection committees (PCPCs) formed &amp; strengthened \u00a0 First project on children\u2019s education \u00a0 SSEVS\u2019s first project titled \u201cTo connect children to regular schools especially dalit and dropped out through innovative non-formal centers\u201d, supported by Bihar Education Project, Govt of Bihar was implemented during 1st April 1991 to 31st March 1994 in 04 panchayats of Chanpatia block of West Champaran, Bihar. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Achievements of this project were:\u00a0 \u00a0 40 non-formal centers established, run and managed satisfactorily. 1093 children admitted in various regular schools of the block. 13 village committees formed. 76 members were trained to their roles and responsibilities. \u00a0 Second project on children\u2019s education \u00a0 During 1992-97, 40 non-formal centers had been established in Chanpatia block with the support of Bihar Education Project (BEP). \u00a0 Achievement: 1200 dropout children were provided primary education in the centers. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 52% children were admitted to local primary schools. \u00a0 \u00a0 Work on child labourers \u00a0 During 1995-2000, a survey of child labourers engaged in the brick making has been done in 22 brick kilns in Sikta and Chanpatia blocks of West Champaran of Bihar. \u00a0 Achievements: 157 child labourer had been identified. 06 child learning centers had been established for the rescued child labourers which lasted for 03 seasons and 108 children had been admitted to the local govt primary schools. 49 children admitted to schools dropped out. Parents &amp; PRI members were sensitized on the child rights and their issues. \u00a0 Impact: The brick kiln owners were scared to employ the children in their brick kilns during that period.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Apna Vidyalay (Our School) fo the children \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Apna Vidyalay (our school) for scheduled caste and Muslims have been successful model and tested model in \u201cAdolescent Education Project (ADP) supported by Sir Dorabji Tata Trust in which we have been providing the education to the young girls and mainstreaming them to the formal schools. After a year, it was found that Out of 180 young girls completed their studies in apna vidyalay and are sustaining their education in formal schools.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Skill training in various trades to the young girls\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 For skill training, organization have been linking the young girls to Ashadeep, Muzaffarpur and after their training they have successfully been placed and earning their livelihoods. Secondly, organization has provided the skill training to the young girls in agriculture under its \u201cIndia Grain Legume Cluster Development: Policy, Production &amp; Nutrition\u201d project. \u00a0 \u00a0 Collective Coalition against Human Trafficking (CCHT)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 CCHT is a state level network to combat the human trafficking which covers 38 districts of Bihar.\u00a0 Around 200 NGOs are the members of this coalition in Bihar.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Samagra Sikchhan Evam Vikas Sansthan (SSEVS) has been elected as the District Convenor for the district of West Champaran. The coalition has been assigned to capacitate the NGOs who are working in and around West Champaran on trafficking issue. The coalition works with the local administration, PRI members &amp; other departt to combat human trafficking in\u00a0 district. \u00a0 Agriculture and Livelihood SSEVS experience on sustainable agricultural livelihood &amp; nutrition\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 2303 farmers have been streamlined into 143 farmers interest groups (FIGs) \u00a0 2303 farmers are growing pulses through adopting package of practice, technical inputs and market linkages &amp; getting fair prices \u00a0 212 dalit families have almost doubled their income through vegetable cultivation and consuming which has enhanced their level of nutritional intake. \u00a0 02 farmers producers\u2019 companies have been registered under Companies Act \u00a0 200 families\/farmers are practicing the kitchen gardens whereby they consume the vegetable which has enhanced their nutritional level \u00a0 Organization has also been working on small agricultural tools to reduce the access labour burden of women farmers.
