Ayushman card help reducing the child labour and migration
During the WCPC & PCPC meetings, members were very much concerned over the expenditure on the health of the inhabitants of Baligaon Panchayat of Patepur block of Vaishali district but no one was spared the time to raise the issue at the proper forum as they did not know the processes.
The workers of the PCTB, tried their best to get all members of the WCPC and PCPC trained on all schemes especially Aayusman Card under PM-JAY as it reduces the expenditure on the health of any family. The staff of PCTB project, tried their best to convince the members to go to the appropriate officials and request to organize a camp for making Aayusman Cards for their citizens. For this, first of all, the members tried to know the number of families who have not been issued Aayusman Cards to date through the WCPC & PCPC. During a conversation with the families, they came to know that the number of families who do not have their Aayusman Cards is huge and their expenditure is increasing on availing the healthcare facilities.
Mukhia and members of CPC were of the opinion that they should contact the Block Health Manager and request him/her to organize a camp and in turn, they will contact all families to inform the date, place of camp to them.
After getting the permission for organizing the camp for making Aayusman Card, staff of PCTB and members of the child protection committees gone to all the families and informed about the date and place of the camp. They also informed these families as how important to get this card issued for the families to curtail the expenditure on medical bills for the families.
On the said date and place, staff and members of child protection committee, left no stone unturned and made the camp very successful. There was a big crowd for getting Aayusman Card on that day but staff of PCTB tried their best to manage the crowd with the active assistance of members of ward child protection committee.
\At the end of the day, Aayusman Card for 57 women, 37 men, 14 boys and 03 girls received by their respective families. They were also advised as to how these cards will be used when needed. These efforts encouraged members of the child protection committees to do more for the society in future.
