Napier green fodder gave new life to Goats

About Maa Sita SHG : All the members of Maa Sita group are goat rearers and this is their main source of livelihood. All of them have been doing goat rearing for the last two years and through Heifer, 7 members have been given a support of Rs 70,000 for goat rearing. All these members have also been given training on Improved Animal Management(IAM), so that the goats they are rearing remain healthy. Through this training, the importance of green animal fodder was mainly explained, which is as follows :-
- Nepiyar
- Barsim
- Moringa
- Ozola
since the group members have fed this animal feed to the goats, the animals have shown good growth and are also healthy. These goats have good demand in the markets. Today, the group has animal fodder like Napier, Berseem and Moringa available in about 0.25 acres. Maa Sita SHG has donated 2 thousand Napier fodder sticks to other groups in Bhojpandoul Panchayat.
